Employee ownership delivered by
Technical expertise. Reassuringly human.
Why EOT expert?
As a solicitor specialising in employee ownership, I know that good advice is about more than well-drafted documents. It’s about understanding people, businesses and what makes each ownership journey unique. I bring structure and precision where it’s needed, backed by real-world experience from delivering more than 80 EOT projects and serving as an external trustee to multiple employee-owned companies.
I created EOT expert to give founders, owners and trustees a trusted, long-term partner – someone who helps you do it properly, explains the “why” as well as the “how”, and ensures your structure works in practice, not just on paper. The goal is simple: to help you build a confident, compliant and genuinely rewarding employee-owned business.
‘Another “thank you”…. I’m just reading your introductory document which precedes all the legals, Trust, Articles, SPA, etc. This is the first time I’ve come across such a document and, what a breath of fresh air. To have something which explains the content of “the legals” so clearly is a massive help. If only all law firms did this in as a clear and informal a way as you’ve done!’

About
I’m Christian, a solicitor and business adviser specialising in Employee Ownership Trusts (EOTs). After many years helping companies make the move to employee ownership, I know that while the rules are precise, every business – and every journey – is different.
Alongside my legal expertise in Company, Corporate, Commercial and Trust Law, I bring real-world experience as an external trustee and adviser to established EOTs. That perspective helps me spot challenges early, explain options clearly and keep the process calm, compliant and effective.
EOT expert exists to give business owners lasting reassurance – that your EOT structure works in practice, not just on paper.
I work with clients across the UK, but home is a field in West Cornwall, near the coast, with my wife Tess, her award-winning ponies, a guitar and a slightly neglected surfboard.
